  1. I love the Frick! I also loved meeting you at the VSC! I always think of the Frank O’Hara poem when I think of that museum, “I look at you and I would rather look at you than all the portraits in the world except possibly for the Polish Rider occasionally and anyway it’s in the Frick which thank heavens you haven’t gone to yet so we can go together the first time.”

    • Yes, it is amazing, eh? And Frank, of course. I have read a bit of his stuff a few years ago, plus that bio by Brad Gooch but didn’t know he said that. I’ll share that with my guy who is gaga over the Frick. It feels good that we are able to connect in some small way through things like a blog and links. Your work at Indiana and Chicago is pretty cool. Ah, and so you’re the one that did that portrait of Sayward!..Hug
